How to use the Google Drive Add-On?

System Settings

  • To activate this Add-On, navigate to the Settings page and find the Google Drive Settings section. Toggle Enable Google Drive Integration to allow files to be stored in Google Drive.
  • Before creating your OAuth credentials in Google Cloud Console, copy the redirect URL shown on this page and add it under the “Authorised redirect URIs” section while setting up your credentials.
  • Once enabled, enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
  • To help you generate the Client ID and Client Secret, the settings page includes a “Setup Instructions” guide with the following steps:
    • Go to Google Cloud Console and create OAuth 2.0 credentials
    • Enable the Google Drive API in your project
    • Add the redirect URI shown above to the authorized redirect URIs
    • Copy the Client ID and Client Secret into the fields above
    • Save the settings and authenticate with Google
  • Below the authentication section, the Connections Settings area lets you choose exactly where Google Drive integration is available across the system. Modules are grouped under tabs such as General, Accounting, AI Image, Contract, HRM, CRM, POS, Product & Service, Sales, Project, and several others.
  • Within each tab, individual features are listed with their own toggles; for example, under General, you’ll find Sales Invoice, Proposal, Purchase Invoice, and Warehouse. Enable a toggle to allow files for that specific feature to be stored in Google Drive.
  • After entering all required details, click the Save Changes button. Once your credentials are saved, authenticate with Google to complete the connection. The Authentication Status section will update to reflect whether your account is connected; until then, it displays as Not Authenticated, with a note to save the Client ID and Client Secret first.

  • Once connected, you can access your Google Drive files directly from the platform, so you don’t need to switch apps.
  • Once you set up this Add-On, a Google Drive icon will appear at the top of the page for any feature you have enabled in the system settings. E.g., if you enable the Sales Invoice feature, the icon will be visible on the Sales Invoice page. Clicking the icon will display the files you’ve added from Google Drive.
  • You can add new files using the create button, open files in Google Drive with the button next to it, and delete files. If you delete a file on the platform, it will also be removed from Google Drive, and if you delete a file from Google Drive, it will be removed from the platform too.
