The Quiz Management Add-On is designed to provide a comprehensive and efficient solution for creating, managing, and analyzing quizzes.

Introduction

The Quiz Management Add-On is a complete solution for creating and managing interactive quizzes through a dedicated web portal. It allows you to build quizzes with multiple question types, set time limits and passing marks, and organize them into categories. Participants can register, browse the quiz library, take quizzes, and track their performance through their personal profile. The Add-On also gives you full control over your website’s content and appearance through a comprehensive System Setup, while the backend dashboard keeps you informed of participant activity, results, reviews, and contact inquiries — all in one place.

How To Use the Quiz Management Add-On?

Quiz Management Dashboard

  • The dashboard provides a complete overview of your quiz platform’s performance through various visual elements and quick access features.
  • At the top, you will find a Share Your Quiz Portal card featuring a QR code that participants can scan to directly access the quiz website, along with a Copy Link button to easily share the portal link. The card title, description, and button text displayed here are configured from the Dashboard Welcome Card Settings in the Brand Settings section of the System Setup.
  • The dashboard displays four summary cards showing Total Quizzes, Total Questions, Participants, and Attempts, giving you instant insights into your platform’s key metrics at a glance.
  • The Quiz Attempts Summary chart displays a bar graph comparing the total number of Attempts, Passed, and Failed results across all quizzes, allowing you to assess overall participant performance visually. Below the chart, the Publish Rate shows the percentage of quizzes that are currently published, and the Attempt Rate shows the percentage of quizzes that have been attempted by participants.
  • The Performance Snapshot panel on the right displays the Published Quizzes percentage, Pass Rate, total Passed and Failed counts, and the Average Score across all quiz attempts, giving you a quick summary of how well participants are performing on the platform.
  • The Recent Participant Attempts table at the bottom displays the latest quiz attempts with columns for Participant name, Quiz name, Score, Status (Passed or Failed), and the date Attempted, allowing you to monitor and track the most recent activity across all quizzes and participants at a glance.

System Setup

Brand Settings

  • In the Brand Settings section, you will find fields for Logo, Footer Logo, Favicon, Site Title, Footer Copyright Text, and Footer Description. You can upload your logo, footer logo, and favicon using the Browse button. Enter all the required details and click Save Changes.
  • In the Dashboard Welcome Card Settings, you will find fields for Card Title, Card Description, Button Text, and Button Icon. Enter all the details and click Save Changes.

  • Once saved, the Logo will appear in the header of your website and the Footer Logo will display in the footer area. The Favicon will show as the small icon on the browser tab. The Site Title will represent your platform’s name across the site, the Footer Copyright Text will display as the copyright line at the bottom of every page, and the Footer Description will appear as the short introductory text in the footer section.

Banner Section

  • In the Banner Settings section, you will find fields for Banner Title, Banner Description, and Banner Image. Enter the title and description, and upload your banner image using the Browse button. Click Save Changes.

  • Once saved, the Banner Title and Banner Description will appear in the hero section of your homepage as the main headline and supporting text. The Banner Image will display alongside the text as the visual illustration in that section, giving visitors an engaging first impression of the platform.

Why Choose Section

  • In the Why Choose Settings section, you will find fields for Why Choose Section Title and Why Choose Section Description. Enter both details to define the heading of this section.
  • Under Why Choose Items, you can add individual feature cards. For each item, enter the Why Choose Icon, Why Choose Title, and Why Choose Description. Click the “Add Why Choose Item” button to add more items, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Section Title and Section Description will appear as the heading and subheading of the “Why Choose Quiz Master” section on the homepage. Each item you add will display as a feature card with its icon, title, and description below the section heading.

Features Section

  • In the Features Settings section, you will find fields for Features Section Title and Features Section Description. Enter both details to define the heading of this section.
  • Under Features, you can add individual feature entries. For each item, enter the Feature Icon, Feature Title, and Feature Description. Click the “Add Feature” button to add more features, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Features Section Title and Features Section Description will appear as the heading and subheading of the “Powerful Features” section on the homepage. Each feature you add will display as a card with its icon, title, and description, helping visitors understand what the platform offers.

Testimonial Section

  • In the Testimonials section, you will find fields for the section Title and Description. Enter both to define the heading of the testimonials area.
  • Under Testimonial Details, you can add individual testimonials. For each item, enter the Customer Name, Designation, Rating, Comment, and upload a Profile Image using the Browse button. Click the “Add Testimonial” button to add more entries, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Section Title and Description will appear as the heading and subheading of the “What Users Say” section on the homepage. Each testimonial will display as a review card showing the customer’s photo, name, designation, star rating, and comment.

FAQs Section

  • In the FAQ section, you will find fields for the section Title and Description. Enter both to define the heading of the FAQ page.
  • Under Frequently Asked Questions, you can add individual FAQ entries. For each item, enter the Question and its corresponding Answer. Click the “Add FAQ” button to add more entries, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Title and Description will appear as the heading and subheading of the FAQ page. Each question and answer pair will display as an accordion item, allowing visitors to expand and read the answer by clicking on the question.

Quick Links

  • In the Quick Links section, you can add footer navigation links. For each item, enter the Link Title and its corresponding URL. Click the “Add Quick Link” button to add more links, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, all the quick links you have added will appear in the Quick Links column of the website footer, allowing visitors to quickly navigate to important pages such as Home, Quiz Library, About, and Contact.

Social Links

  • In the Social Links section, you can add your social media profiles. For each item, select the Social Media Icon from the available options and enter the corresponding URL. Click the “Add Social Link” button to add more platforms, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the social media icons will appear in the footer of your website. Visitors can click any icon to be taken directly to your social media profile on that platform.

About Section

  • In the About Page Settings, under the Heading Section, you will find fields for Title and Description. These define the main page heading at the top of the About page.
  • Under the About Section, enter the Section Title, Description, and upload an About Section Image using the Browse button. You can also add About Items. For each item, select an icon, enter a Title and Description, and click “Add About Item” to include more.
  • Under Mission, enter the icon, title, and full mission description. Under Vision, do the same for the vision statement.
  • Under the How It Works Section, enter the section Title and Description. Then add How It Works Items, for each step, select an icon, enter a title, and description. Click “Add Step” to include more steps, and click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Heading Title and Description will appear at the top of the About page. The About Section content, image, and items will appear in the main About block. The Mission and Vision will display as two side-by-side cards.
  • The How It Works steps will appear as a numbered process flow at the bottom of the page, showing visitors how to Register, Login, Start, and Play.

Contact Section

  • In the Contact Section Settings, under the Header Section, you will find fields for Heading Title and Description. These control the main heading of the Contact Us page.
  • Under Contact Information, enter the Title, Description, Phone Number, Email Address, and Website Link. Click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Heading Title and Description will appear at the top of the Contact Us page. The Contact Information, including phone number, email address, and website link, will display on the right side of the Contact page under the “Get In Touch” panel, making it easy for visitors to reach you.

CTA Section

  • In the CTA Settings section, you will find fields for Title and Description. Enter the call-to-action headline and supporting text, then click Save Changes.

  • Once saved, the CTA Title and Description will appear in the “Ready to Explore Quizzes?” banner section on both the homepage and the About page, encouraging visitors to browse the quiz library.

Title Section

  • In the Page Titles & Descriptions section, you will find two sub-sections. Under the Home Quiz Section, enter the Title and Description for the quiz listing area on the homepage. Under the Quiz Library Page, enter the Title and Description for the Quiz Library page. Click Save Changes when done.

  • Once saved, the Home Quiz Section title and description will appear as the heading above the “Popular Quizzes” grid on the homepage. The Quiz Library Page title and description will display as the heading and subtext at the top of the Quiz Library page.

Newsletter Section

  • In the Newsletter Settings section, you will find a field for Newsletter Description. Enter the subscription invite text that will appear in the footer of your website, then click Save Changes.
  • Under Newsletter Subscriptions, you can view a list of all users who have subscribed, showing their Email address and the date they subscribed. You can search for a specific subscriber using the search bar, and remove any entry using the delete icon in the Action column.

  • Once saved, the Newsletter Description will appear in the “Stay Updated” block in the footer of every page, inviting visitors to subscribe. When a visitor enters their email and submits, their details will be recorded and visible in the Newsletter Subscriptions list in the backend.

Custom Pages

  • To create a new custom page, click the “Create” button at the top right. In the Create Custom Page form, enter the Page Title, URL Slug (using only lowercase letters and hyphens), an optional Description, and add the page content using the rich text editor.
  • In the Custom Pages section, you will see a list of all existing pages, such as Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, displayed with their Title, URL Slug, and Action options. You can click the edit icon to update any existing page’s content.

  • Once saved, the custom pages will be accessible via their URL slugs, and their links will appear in the Legal section of the website footer, such as Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, allowing visitors to read important platform information.

Quiz Categories

  • To add a new category, click the “Create” button at the top right. In the Create Category form, enter the category Name.
  • In the Quiz Categories section, you will see a list of all existing categories, such as General Knowledge, Science & Technology, History & Geography, and more. Each category shows its Name and Action options. You can use the edit icon to update a category name or the delete icon to remove it.

  • Once saved, all active quiz categories will appear as filter options in the Category dropdown on the Quiz Library page. Each quiz card will also display its assigned category as a tag, helping visitors browse and find quizzes that match their interests.

Manage Quizzes

  • To add a new quiz, click the “Create” button on the Manage Quizzes page. In the Basic Information section, enter the Quiz Name, select a Category from the dropdown (configure from the System setup), and upload a Quiz Image using the Browse button.
  • In the Questions section, click the Quiz Questions dropdown to select the questions you want to include in this quiz. As you select questions, they will appear in the Selected Questions & Marks panel below, showing each question along with its assigned marks. The Total Questions count and Total Marks will update automatically based on your selections.
  • In the Marks & Timing Configuration section, the Total Marks field is automatically calculated from the selected questions. Enter the Passing Marks (must be within the total marks range), select the Per Question Time Limit in seconds from the dropdown, and the Total Time Duration will be calculated automatically based on your selections. Click Create to save the quiz.
  • The list page displays a table with columns including Image, Name, Category Name, Total Marks, Passing Marks, Per Question Time Limit, Total Time Duration, Status, and Actions. Use the search bar to find a specific quiz by name. You can also toggle between list view and grid view using the icons.
  • Click the Filters button to apply filtering options, including filtering by Status and Category. Click Apply to filter the results or Clear to reset them.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the view icon to preview the full quiz details, the edit icon to update the quiz information, or the delete icon to permanently remove it from the system.

  • Once published, each quiz will appear as a card on the Quiz Library page on the website, displaying the Quiz Image, Quiz Name, Category tag, number of questions, total time duration, and a Take Quiz button. Only quizzes with a Publish status will be visible to visitors. Quizzes saved as Draft will remain hidden from the frontend until published.

Manage Questions

  • To add a new question, click the “Create” button on the Manage Questions page. In the Create Question form, enter the Question text in the Question field. Select the question Type, you can choose from MCQ, True/False, or Descriptive.
  • If you select MCQ, enter the answer options in the MCQ Options fields. Use the Correct checkbox next to the right option to mark it as the correct answer. Click “Add Option” to add more answer choices. The Selected Correct Answer field will update automatically once you check the correct option. Enter the Marks to be awarded for a correct answer, then click Create to save the question.
  • If you select True/False, you will be prompted to enter the statement and mark whether True or False is the correct answer, along with the Marks. If you select Descriptive, you only need to enter the question text and assign the Marks, as descriptive questions do not have predefined answer options.
  • The list page displays a table with columns including Question, Type, Marks, and Actions. Use the search bar to find a specific question by its text. Click the Filters button to filter questions by Type, MCQ, True/False, or Descriptive. Click Apply to filter the results or Clear to reset them.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the view icon to preview the full question details, the edit icon to update the question or its options, or the delete icon to permanently remove it from the system.
  • Once created, all questions become available in the Quiz Questions dropdown when creating or editing a quiz. When a participant takes a quiz on the website, MCQ questions will display as multiple-choice options to select from, True/False questions will display as two-option statements to evaluate, and Descriptive questions will display a text input area for the participant to write their answer. The marks assigned to each question in the backend determine the score a participant receives upon completing the quiz.

Manage Participants

  • The Manage Participants page displays a list of all users who have registered on the quiz website.
  • The list shows each participant’s Name, Email, Mobile Number, and Actions. You can sort the list by Name or Email using the sort arrows in the column headers. Use the search bar to find a specific participant by name, and click Search to filter the results.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the view icon to open the full Participant Details page, or the delete icon to permanently remove the participant from the system.
  • The Participant Details page displays the participant’s full name, email address, mobile number, and registration date at the top, along with their overall Pass Rate percentage. Below that, a summary shows their Total Attempts, Passed count, Failed count, and total Quizzes Taken at a glance.
  • The Quiz Attempts section on this page shows a detailed history of every quiz the participant has attempted, including the Quiz name, Score, Status (Passed or Failed), Time taken, and Date of attempt. You can search for a specific quiz within this history using the search bar.

  • Participants are not manually added from the backend. They are automatically registered in this list when a visitor creates an account on the website by signing up with their Full Name, Email Address, and Mobile Number. Once registered, participants can log in to their account, take quizzes, and track their results through the My Profile section on the website.

Manage Results

  • The Manage Results page displays a complete record of all quiz attempts made by participants on the website.
  • The list shows each record’s Participant Name, Quiz, Score, Start Time, End Time, Total Time Taken, Attempt Date, Status, and Actions. You can sort the results by Score, Start Time, End Time, Total Time Taken, Attempt Date, or Status using the sort arrows in the column headers.
  • You can search for specific vehicles using the search bar. The page also allows you to toggle between list view and grid view.
  • Click the Filters button to apply filtering options, including filtering by Quiz and by Status. Click Apply to filter the results or Clear to reset them.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the delete icon to permanently remove a result record from the system.

  • Results are not manually added from the backend. They are automatically generated and recorded here each time a participant completes a quiz on the website. A status of Passed or Failed is assigned automatically based on whether the participant’s score meets the Passing Marks set for that quiz in the backend.

  • On the website, each participant can view their own results by navigating to My Results under their profile. The My Results page displays their Quiz History, including Total Attempts, Passed count, Failed count, and a detailed table showing the Quiz Name, Score, Status, and Attempt Date for every quiz they have attempted.

Manage Reviews

  • The Manage Reviews page displays all quiz reviews submitted by participants on the website. The list shows each record’s Participant name, Quiz name, Rating, Review comment, and Date of submission. You can search for specific vehicles using the search bar.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the delete icon to permanently remove a review from the system.

  • Reviews are not manually added from the backend. They are automatically recorded here after a participant completes a quiz on the website and submits their feedback with a star rating and a written comment.

  • The reviews collected here are reflected on the website in the “What Users Say” testimonial section on the homepage, giving visitors social proof and feedback from real participants about the quality and experience of the quizzes on the platform.

Manage Contacts

  • The Manage Contacts page displays all inquiries submitted by visitors through the Contact Us form on the website. The list shows each record’s Name, Email, Phone, and Subject. You can sort the list by Name, Email, or Subject using the sort arrows in the column headers. You can search for specific vehicles using the search bar.
  • In the Actions column, you can use the view icon to read the full message details submitted by the visitor, or the delete icon to permanently remove the contact entry from the system.

  • Contact entries are not manually added from the backend. They are automatically recorded here when a visitor fills out the Contact Us form on the website by entering their Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Subject, and Message, and clicks Send Message.

How to Register

  • To create your account, click the Register button in the top right corner of the website. On the Sign Up page, enter your Full Name, Email Address, and create a strong Password. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field to verify it, then click Create Account. Once registered, you will be able to sign in and start taking quizzes.

How to Sign In

  • If you already have an account, click the Sign In button in the top right corner of the website. Enter your registered Email Address and Password, then click Sign In. You can tick the Remember Me checkbox to stay logged in on your device. If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password? to reset it.

Your Profile Menu

  • Once you are signed in, your name will appear in the top right corner of the website. Click on your name to open a dropdown menu with the following options: My Profile, My Results, and Sign Out.

My Profile

  • The My Profile page is where you can manage your personal account information. It has three sections in the left sidebar:
  • Profile Info: Here you can view and update your Full Name, Email Address, and Mobile Number. Once done, click Save Changes to update your details.
  • Change Password: Here you can update your account password. Enter your Current Password, then enter your New Password, and re-enter it in the Confirm New Password field to confirm. Click Update Password to save.
  • Sign Out: Click this to log out of your account.

My Results

  • The My Results page lets you track your quiz performance and history. At the top, you will see a summary showing your Total Attempts, how many quizzes you have Passed, and how many you have Failed.
  • Below that, a Quiz History table shows a detailed record of every quiz you have attempted, including the Quiz Name, your Score, the Status (Passed or Failed), and the Date you attempted it.
