The Radiology Management System is a comprehensive software solution designed to help hospitals and medical facilities manage their radiology department operations efficiently.

Introduction

The Radiology Management Add-On is a comprehensive module designed to streamline the management of radiology services within the hospital system. It enables staff to configure test categories, manage diagnostic tests with pricing, and create radiology requests linked to patients and doctors. With built-in payment tracking, report generation, and status management across all sections, the add-on provides a centralized workflow for managing radiology operations from request to report.

How to Use the Radiology Management Add-On?

Test Categories

  • To create a new Test Category, click the “Create” button on the Manage Test Categories page. In the Create Test Category modal, enter the Name in the text field and optionally provide a Description to describe the category. Use the Status toggle to set the category as Active or Inactive. Click Create to save the record.
  • The list page displays all test category records in a table with columns for Name, Description, Status, and Actions. The Status column reflects whether each category is currently Active or Inactive, determining its availability for selection when configuring tests.
  • Use the Search Bar to quickly locate a specific category by name. Click Filters to expand the filter panel, then use the Status dropdown to filter categories by their current status. Click Apply to activate the filters or Clear to reset them. You can also adjust the number of records displayed per page using the per page dropdown in the top-right corner.
  • In the Actions column, use View to see the full category record and its associated details. Use Edit to update any category information such as the name, description, or status. Use Delete to permanently remove the test category from the system.

Manage Tests

  • To create a new Test, click the “Create” button on the Manage Tests page. Enter the Test Name in the text field and select the appropriate Category from the dropdown (configured from the Test Categories section). Set the Price for the test before clicking Create to save the record.
  • The list page displays all test records in a table with columns for Name, Category Name, Price, and Actions. The Category Name column clearly reflects the imaging or diagnostic category each test belongs to, making it easy to identify and organize tests at a glance.
  • Use the Search Bar to quickly locate a specific test by name. Click Filters to expand the filter panel, then use the Category dropdown to narrow down results by test category. Click Apply to activate the filters or Clear to reset them. You can also adjust the number of records displayed per page using the per page dropdown in the top-right corner.
  • In the Actions column, use the View icon to see the full test record and its associated details. Use the Edit icon to update any test information, such as the name, category, or price. Use the Delete icon to permanently remove the test record from the system.

Radiology Requests

  • To create a new Radiology Request, click the “Create” button on the Manage Radiology Requests page. Use the date picker to set the Request Date, then select the Patient from the dropdown and the Doctor from the dropdown (both populated from their respective sections). Optionally, enter any additional context in the Notes text area.
  • In the Radiology Tests section, a test row is added by default. Select the Test from the dropdown (configured from the Manage Tests section), and the Price will auto-populate. Enter a Discount amount if applicable, and the Total will be calculated automatically. Click “ Add Test” to include multiple tests in the same request. The Request Summary at the bottom displays the running Subtotal, Discount, and Total across all added tests. Click Create to save the request.
  • The list page displays all radiology request records in a table with columns for Request Number, Patient, Doctor, Subtotal, Discount, Total Amount, Request Date, Payment Status, Request Status, and Actions. The Request Status column reflects the current state of each request as Pending, Cleared, or Cancelled, while the Payment Status column shows the payment state of the record.

  • Use the Search Bar to quickly locate a specific record by request number. Click Filters to expand the filter panel, then apply filters using the Patient dropdown, the Doctor dropdown, and the Status dropdown to narrow down results. Click Apply to activate the filters or Clear to reset them. You can also toggle between list view and grid view using the layout icons, and adjust the number of records shown using the per page dropdown.
  • In the Actions column, use Download PDF to export the radiology request as a PDF document. Use View to see the full request record and its associated details. Use Mark as Cleared to approve and clear the request, or Mark as Rejected to reject it and update its status accordingly.
  • Use Process Payment to open the payment modal, where you can set the Payment Date, select the Bank Account, enter the Reference Number, confirm the Payment Amount, and optionally add Notes before clicking Add Payment to record the transaction. Use Edit to update any request information, and Delete to permanently remove the radiology request from the system.

Manage Payments

  • The list page displays all payment records in a table with columns for Reference Number, Notes, Amount, Payment Date, Payment Status, and Actions. The Payment Status column reflects the current state of each payment as either Cleared or Pending, making it easy to track outstanding and completed transactions at a glance.
  • Use the Search Bar to quickly locate a specific record by payment details. Click Filters to expand the filter panel, then use the Payment Status dropdown to narrow down results by status. Click Apply to activate the filters or Clear to reset them. You can also adjust the number of records displayed per page using the per page dropdown in the top-right corner.
  • In the Actions column, use Mark as Cleared to update a pending payment’s status to Cleared once the transaction has been confirmed. Use View to see the full payment record and its associated details. Use Delete to permanently remove the payment record from the system. Note that fully cleared records display only the View option, as no further actions are required.

Manage Reports

  • To create a new Report, click the “Create” button on the Manage Reports page. In the Create Report modal, enter the Report Name in the text field and select the associated Radiology Request from the dropdown.
  • Once a radiology request is selected, the Reports section will populate with the tests linked to that request. For each item, select the Test from the dropdown and upload the corresponding Test Report Image using the file chooser. Click “Add Test Image” to attach additional test images as needed. Click Create to save the report.
  • The list page displays all report records in a table with columns for Name, Request Number, Patient, Patient Email, Patient Code, Created At, and Actions. Each report is linked to its corresponding radiology request number, making it easy to trace reports back to their originating requests.

  • In the Actions column, use View to open the Report Details modal, which displays the Radiology Request, Radiology Request Patient, Created Date, and Total Images, along with all attached test images that can be previewed or downloaded individually. Use Edit to update any report information, and Delete to permanently remove the report from the system.
